CENTRAL MARIN POLICE COUNCIL

A joint powers agreement forms the Central Marin Police Authority and its governing Police Council. The Police Council is comprised of two appointed council members from the City of Larkspur, the Town of Corte Madera, and the Town of San Anselmo.  These appointed council members develop policy for the Police Authority.  Police Council members or alternates are not paid or compensated for their time during any terms.

The Police Council members representing the following jurisdictions are:

The Central Marin Police Council has set by Resolution 2017/16, the 2018 regular meetings.

The meetings begin at 6:00 P.M. and are scheduled as follows:

The Central Marin Police Council has set by Resolution 2018/18, the 2019 regular meetings. 
The meetings begin at 6:00 P.M. and are scheduled as follows:
  • Thursday, February 14, 2019
  • Thursday, May 9, 2019
  • Thursday, August 8, 2019
  • Thursday, November 11, 2019

The location of the Regular Meetings will be posted on the agenda at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.

The Police Council holds Special Meetings as needed. The date, time and location of Special Meetings will be noticed at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.


Organization

Overall management of the Police Authority is the function of the Management Committee comprised of the city and town managers. Operation of the Authority is assigned to the Chief of Police.
